MainRecipesDessert | Plum Sorbet

Plum Sorbet submitted by Mom Johnson
Description
I found this recipe looking for ideas on what to make with our abundance of plums this year. The addition of the Grand Marnier is optional but helps keep the sorbet from getting icy while stored in the freezer.

Directions
Place the sliced plums, sugar, lemon juice and salt in a blender or food processor. Strain out solids if desired.

Mix in the Grand Marnier to the puree just before churning. Place the puree in the ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.

Serve immediately or place in an air-tight container and freeze for about 2 hours to firm.
Makes about 1 quart or 4-6 servings.
